Almost a year after Google presented a first peek into their ambitious Glass project – a futuresque voice operated device that is able to display information in smartphone-like format in your field of vision, boasting features such as phonecalls, short messages, instant messages, navigation, music player, photo camera and much more – the Menlo Park company has now announced, that the first glasses are actually produced, waiting to be field-tested. If you want to be one of the lucky few “Explorers” you will need to send an application via twitter or google+ and be willing to shell out $1500.
